UA Mail: Email Forwarding and Vacation Message

You can set your UARK email to be forwarded to another email account, or set an automated vacation message while you are away.  

Forwarding

  1. Log into UA Mail at uamail.uark.edu.

  2. Click Vacation & Forwarding in the menu on the left.

  3. Enter your UARK username and password. Click Login.

  4. Click Mail Delivery Options.

  5. Check the box to Enable forwarding.

  6. In the text box, enter the email address where you want your email forwarded.
    Note: To forward and not retain a local copy (on the server), uncheck the POP3/IMAP4 mailbox option above.

  7. Click Save. Click Log out.

Vacation Message

  1. Log into UA Mail at uamail.uark.edu.

  2. Click Vacation & Forwarding in the menu on the left.

  3. Enter your UARK username and password. Click Login.

  4. Click the Vacation Auto-Responder Rule link.

  5. Enter a Vacation Start Date and a Vacation End Date.

  6. Enter a number of days for the Interval for reply to repeat senders.

  7. Select Language and type a Subject line for the vacation message.

  8. Type the message that you would like to send. The External Sender Message text is for senders with an email address outside the university. The Internal Sender Message text is for senders with a UARK email address.

  9. Check the Enable Vacation Message box.

  10. Click Save. Log out.

There is no option of "vacation and forwarding" on the menu on the left. Only Table of Contents, Log In, and ITS home.

To see the menu, go to http://uamail.uark.edu and log in with your UARK username and password. After you log in, you will see the menu that links to Vacation & Forwarding.

I check the forward button but my email is not yet being forwarded? Is there a delay that occurs before forwarding starts? I do have an exchange account.

If you have exhange, these instructions will not apply. You can set forwards from the exchange web interface at http://exchange.uark.edu/

I find i missed some emails after I chose my hotmail as the forward mailbox? How can i fix it? I mean some emails they were not forwarded to my hotmail address.
