Maintenance Schedules

Maintenance is performed on the following systems on an as-needed basis using the listed time slots. Contact the Data Center at 575-2904 for information about scheduled outages.

Open Systems

Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon

Open Systems maintenance can potentially affect or interrupt several services, including ISIS, Blackboard, UA Mail, XpressMail, www Java production, Razorvault, Jabber, Echo 360, LDAP, SAS, Data Warehouse, UC4, Isofax, Foglight, Netbackup, Oracle database, and MySQL database.

Network Services

Sunday, 12:30 a.m. to noon

Services potentially affected or interrupted by Network Services maintenance include the campus network, the university web presence, departmental networks maintained by Network Services, file servers in ADSB, and other services normally accessed through the campus network.

Windows Servers

Saturday, 12:30 a.m. to noon

Significant upgrades to Windows servers managed by IT Services are scheduled for times that have minimal impact on the users of a particular system. Routine maintenance typically includes OS and application patches, driver updates, and firmware updates.

Notification of maintenance is announced on wintel-announce@listserv.uark.edu. Significant upgrade work will be announced on techtalk@listserv.uark.edu and uitsnews@listserv.uark.edu as well.

BASIS Mainframes

Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon

The ADMIN and UAFMVS1 mainframes system maintenance affects BASIS and its related applications. System backups are performed on Sundays from 12:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
