DropboxIT File Transfer
DropboxIT is a web application that allows students, faculty, and staff to transfer files too large to send through email. With DropboxIT, users can send files to non-UARK addresses, or securely send files to UARK users with Secure Upload feature. Secure Upload requires that the recipient log in with a valid UARK username and password before downloading the file. There is a limit of 1 GB per file and 25 files per transfer.
Upload Files

At https://dropboxit.uark.edu, enter your UARK username and password and click Log in.

Click Upload Files.

Enter your full name and UARK email address. The Subject and Additional Information fields are optional.

(Optional) By default, the "Send a copy to yourself?" box is checked. Uncheck if you do not need a copy.

(Optional) Check the "Secure Upload for UARK Users" box if you want a secure transfer to valid UARK accounts.

Click Proceed to Next Step.

Click Add a recipient and enter the recipient's email address. Click Add this Email. If you are sending the file to multiple recipients, repeat this step until all recipients are added.

Click Proceed to Upload Files.

Click Add files and browse for the file you wish to transfer. Select the file and click Open. Repeat this step until all files are added.

Click Start upload. You will receive confirmation that the transfer is complete.
The recipient will get an email containing a link to download the file. If you chose "Secure Upload for UARK Users," the recipient will be required to log in with a valid UARK username and password before the download starts automatically.
My Sessions
A DropboxIT session is a record of each time you send files through the application. Each session stays active for up to two weeks, allowing you to view recipients and retrieve files. To view the details of a session or retrieve its files, click the Search icon. If you are finished with a session before the two weeks are over, you can delete the session. To delete a session, log into DropboxIT, click My Sessions, and click the Delete icon next to the sessions you no longer need.
The Fine Print
DropboxIT only allows transfers initiated by valid UARK accounts assigned to students, faculty, or staff. You cannot use a sponsored account to transfer or receive files.
All file transfers through DropboxIT are subject to the Code of Computing Practices with regard to copyright infringement and other laws and regulations.
