Clickers: Faculty Setup and Upload Instructions
This guide details steps to set up and participate in classroom polling sessions.

Section 1: Initial Faculty Setup
Download Class Roster from Blackboard Learn

Select Integrations from your Tools menu. (In OS X, open the Window menu.)

Select Blackboard from the Learning Management dropdown menu.

Enter learn.uark.edu in the Server URL field. Click Next.

Enter your username and password. Click Next.

Click the Important Participant List radio button. Click Next.

Select the course to import. Click Finish.

Name the list and click Save. By default, the list will be saved in the Turning Technologies Participant folder in the My Documents folder for the product being used. Click OK.
The list can now be selected in the Participant List dropdown menu. When saved to a flash drive or shared network, import this list to the desired computer from the Participant option under Tools.
Section 2: Day-to-Day Faculty and Student Use
Faculty: Plug in Receiver
Plug receiver into a USB port on the presentation computer.
Student: Use Clicker in Class to Answer Questions
There is no clicker on/off key on the card. The card will go into Sleep mode after a few seconds and will "wake up" when you press a button.
Set the clicker to the same radio frequency as your faculty by:

Pressing Channel

Entering the two digit channel number

Pressing Channel again
Press the corresponding key on the clicker to submit an answer to a classroom clicker question. A green light above the 3/C confirms your answer was sent. You may change your answer while polling is open by selecting another answer.
Section 3: Upload Grades into Blackboard Learn Grade Book

Select Integrations from your Tools menu. (In OS X, open the Window menu.)

Select Blackboard from the Management System dropdown menu.

Enter learn.uark.edu in the Server URL field. Click Next.

Enter your UARK username and password. Click Next.

Select "Export Grades/Email Student Grades." Click Next.

Select the course and click Next.

Select the Session to be uploaded. The current session or saved sessions can be selected.

By selecting the appropriate checkboxes:

Non-responders can be excluded from the export. When unchecked, students with no data receive a grade of 0.

Student grades can be exported to the Grade Book by entering an Assignment name for the Grade Book header and a maximum number of points available.

Click Finish. Click OK. Grades are now available in the Grade Book.
