BASIS: Printer Requirements

BASIS printing requires a networked printer with a PCL driver. Prior to purchasing a printer for BASIS printing, ensure that PCL drivers and networking are supported.

Listed below are examples of printers that will and will not work for BASIS printing.

Models that Support PCL

  • Color LaserJet 8550, 8500, 5200, 4600, 3800, 3700, 2605, 2550, and 2025 series

  • LaserJet 5100, 4700, 4600, 4350, 4300, 4250, 4200, 4100, 4050, 4005, 4000, 3050, 3005, 2820, 2600, 2420, 2400, 2300, 2200, 2015, 1320, 1300, 1200, 1160, 1100, and p1005 series

  • LaserJet 5

  • Office Jet 7410

  • Desk Jet 1220c and MP830

  • Dell 5130cdn, 5130, 5110cn, 3115, and 1815

  • Brother MFC 8480

  • Kyocera c5030n

  • Xerox WorkCentre 7428, 7345, 7335, 5638, 5135, 5030, and 265

  • Xerox Phaser 8560dn, 7500, 6180mfp, 5500, 3250

Models that Do Not Support PCL

  • LaserJet 1020 and 1022

  • LaserJet Pro m1212nf

  • Color LaserJet 3600, 3500, 2600, and 1600 series

  • Xerox Phaser 6110
